The author has considered Stokes flow near a corner in a right angle wedge when the boundary velocities are not zero on finite regions. It has been found that Moffatt's corner eddies near the right angle wedge apex will dominate when the velocities on the boundary are \(O(r^3)\) as \(r \to 0\). Further it has been obtained that on the boundary side \(\theta = 0\) there appear additional components of stress, which are produced by the boundary velocity on the other side \(\theta = {\pi \over 2}\). Therefore, in the problem when only one wall has tangent velocity, it is necessary to apply the force on both the walls in order to create this prescribed velocity.
