Comparison theorems for monotone Newton-Fourier iterations and applications in functional elimination (Q1893095)

The author considers systems of nonlinear algebraic equations generated in the discretization of differential problems. He shows that accurate partial elimination, applied prior to the application of the Newton-Baluev method to the system of nonlinear equations accelerates the convergence of the latter.
