The author establishes the following three results: Theorem 1: For a prime \(p \leq 2n\), a two-dimensional section with an inscribed regular \(p\)-gon may be constructed such that it passes through an arbitrary interior point of a convex body in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Call \(M(N)\) the class of subsets of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) which are intersections of \(N\) layers of unit width included between pairs of hyperplanes in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Theorem 2: There exists a \(k\)-parameter \((k = o(n^2))\) family of subsets of \(R^n\) belonging to \(M({n(n + 1) \over 2})\), which can be made to cover any preassigned subset in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) of unit diameter. Theorem 3: For a prime \(p \leq 2n\) and a convex body \(K \in \mathbb{R}^n\), \(p\) semi-hyperplanes with common \((p - 2)\)-edge and angle \({2 \pi \over p}\) between adjacent hyperplanes may be found, such that the \(p\) resulting wedges formed by \(K\) have equal volume. To a large extent these results are based on a lemma established in an earlier paper: If a continuous map from the Stiefel manifold \(V_{2, n}\) into \(\mathbb{R}^p\) \((p \leq 2n)\) preserves an appropriate \(Z_p\)-action, then its image contains points in \(\mathbb{R}^p\), where \(2n - 2\) arbitrary coordinates of these points coincide.
