Tools for intelligence testing of children (Q1895033)

The LOGOEX system is designed for the medical intelligence testing of mentally retarded children and aids the expert in solving a problem in which the sequence of actions is not amenable to complete algorithmization and partially facilitates patient testing by psychologists and speech therapists. The system provides for the following: The use of personal-computer graphics to create a natural testing environment for children; statistical processing of test results and a data base that also contains histories of patient growth and mental development; a reference function; explanation of the reasoning and of the evaluations adopted by the system; instruction of the system with corresponding modification of the knowledge base and the construction of drawings and pictures to accompany texts, verbal description of texts, and the representation of testing results in graphical form for convenient documentation; formulation of new system goals with the corresponding accumulation of a knowledge base.
