The complicated debris flow is simplified as two-fluid model of solid and liquid two-phase flow, of which the liquid phase is slurry with the fine particles, and the solid phase is the coarse particles separated from slurry. The movement of each phase may be described by using a group of equations. The interaction of the two phases is coupled; hence the two- fluid model of debris flow is founded.
