Extensions of Markuševič bases (Q1895767)

We prove that if a subspace of a Banach space has a Corson compact dual ball, then any Markuševič basis (M-basis) on this subspace can be extended to a countably norming M-basis on the whole space provided it admits a countably norming M-basis. It is also shown that an M-basis on a subspace can be extended provided the factor space is separable. Some results on extending norming M-bases are also discussed.
