McGee's theorem consists of an example that shows that certain conditional logics cannot be equivalent to a many-valued logic with finitely many values, however the conditional is defined. The point of the note is to show that McGee's observation holds under a broader range of conditions than those originally stated, and to follow out the delicate distinctions that prevent conflict between McGee's result and an earlier result of Adams to the effect that his conditional logic can be expressed in terms of trivalent truth values.
