A metric space \(\Gamma\) with a metric \(\delta\) is said to be proper if \(B(x,r) = \{y \mid \delta (y,x) \leq r\}\) is compact for all \(r > 0\) and \(x \in \Gamma\). Let \(\Gamma\) be a discrete metric space. For any \(d \geq 0\), the Rips complex \(P_d(\Gamma)\) is the simplicial polyhedron whose set of vertices equals \(\Gamma\) and where a finite subset \(Y \subset \Gamma\) spans a simplex in \(P_d (\Gamma)\) if and only if the distance between every two points in \(Y\) is less or equal to \(d\). Define \(K_* (P_d(\Gamma))\) to be \(KK_* (C_0 P_d (\Gamma)), \mathbb{C})\). Let \(E\) be a Hilbert space and \(B_E\) the algebra of all locally compact operators acting on \(E\) with bounded propagation. Denote by \(B_\Gamma\) the operator norm closure of \(B_E\) for \(E = \ell_2 (\Gamma) \otimes {\mathfrak H}\) where \(\mathfrak H\) is an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space. The IND map passes through the inductive limit \(\lim_{d \to \infty} P_d(\Gamma)\) and defines the index map IND from \(\lim_{d \to \infty} P_d (\Gamma)\) to \(K_* (B_\Gamma)\). The following conjecture is called a coarse Baum-Connes conjecture: if \(\Gamma\) is a proper discrete metric space, then the index map IND from \(\lim_{d \to \infty} P_d (\Gamma)\) to \(K_* (B_\Gamma)\) is always an isomorphism. In this paper the coarse Baum-Connes conjecture for metric spaces with Lipschitz good cover is proved. This class of metric spaces includes trees and simply connected nonpositively curved manifolds.
