\(\text{Spin}(7)\)-structures in principal fibre bundles over Riemannian manifolds with \(G_ 2\)-structure (Q1897632)

The author considers a manifold \(M\) with a \(G_2\)-structure and a principal fibre bundle with one-dimensional structure group over \(M\). He defines two Spin(7)-structures on the total bundle space \(M\) and he finds relations between the class of the Spin(7)-structure on \(\overline M\) and the class of the \(G_2\)-structure on \(M\). Using these results he produces examples of Spin(7)-structures.
