The paper is concerned with the infinitesimal plane strain of an infinite elastic-plastic wedge with both isotropic and kinematic hardening. Attention is confined to an acute wedge under uniform pressure on one of its faces. The wedge material is incompressible and obeys a work-hardening generalization of von Mises' yield condition and its associated flow rule in strain space. A closed-form solution for the components of stress and displacement is obtained for this problem.
