The distribution of non-commutative Rademacher series (Q1898135)

We give a formula for the tail of the distribution of the non-commutative Rademacher series, which generalizes the result that is already available in the commutative case. As a result, we are able to calculate the norm of these series in many rearrangement invariant spaces, generalizing work of \textit{G. Pisier} [Adv. Math., Suppl. Stud. 7 B, 685-726 (1981; Zbl 0468.43008) and in: Probability and analysis. Lect. Notes Math. 1206, 167- 241 (1986; Zbl 0606.60008)] and \textit{V. A. Rodin} and \textit{E. M. Semyonov} [Anal. Math. 1, 207-222 (1975; Zbl 0315.46031)].
