The problem of the influence of radiation forces on two spheres in a viscous fluid in an acoustic field is formulated and solved. Interaction between the spheres is determined by the mutual disturbance of the flow fields around them as a result of interference between the incident and the reflected waves. The wave fields are expressed by Fourier series in spherical harmonics, and approximate solution for the potential can be obtained from the truncated system. The radiation force acting on one of the spheres is equal to the time-average of the integral over the spherical surface of the convolution of the stress tensor with the unit normal vector. The diffraction problem is formulated and solved for linear viscoelastic solids. The stresses in the fluid are represented in terms of the velocity potential obtained from the solution of the diffraction of the primary wave by free spheres.
