Harmonicity of gradient mappings of level surfaces in a real affine space (Q1900061)

In a previous paper by \textit{J. H. Hao} and the author [Geom. Dedicata 50, No. 2, 193-204 (1994; Zbl 0805.53007)] level surfaces of a non-degenerate function \(\varphi\) in a real affine space \(\mathbb{A}^{n + 1}\) were investigated by using the gradient vector field. In the present paper harmonic gradient mappings of level surfaces are considered; the results are applied to a problem which is similar to the affine Bernstein problem (\textit{S. S. Chern}).
