Practical implementation of the finite-analytic method (Q1900558)

This paper presents a general methodology for practical implementation of the finite analytic method for numerical solutions of process models. The methodology is demonstrated by applications to typical one- and two-dimensional problems. Because the finite analytic method leads to significantly higher-order accurate numerical schemes over relatively small local grid systems, the finite analytic approach appears to be a very powerful technique for applications to problems encountered in engineering and the natural sciences.
