Consider the singularly perturbed system of ordinary differential equations \((*)\) \[ \begin{aligned} dx/dt &= A(t, \varepsilon) x + B(t, \varepsilon) y + f(t,x,y, \varepsilon),\\ \varepsilon dy/dt &= C(t, \varepsilon) x + D(t, \varepsilon) y + g(t,x,y, \varepsilon)\end{aligned} \] under the assumptions (i) \(A,B,C, D,f,g\) are continuous and bounded, (ii) \(f,g\) are Lipschitz continuous in \(x,y\) uniformly in \(t\), where the Lipschitz constants tends to zero as \(|x |+ |y |+ |\varepsilon |\to 0\), (iii) \(C(t,0) = 0\), (iv) (principle assumption) \(dz/dt = A(t,0)z\) and \(dw/dt = \varepsilon^{- 1} D(t, \varepsilon) w\) have exponential dichotomies on \(R\). Under these assumptions, the author proves the existence of small bounded solutions \((x^* (t, \varepsilon), y^*(t, \varepsilon))\) of \((*)\) which tend to zero as \(\varepsilon \to 0\). In case \(f\) and \(g\) are almost periodic (periodic) in \(t\), \((x^*, y^*)\) is also almost periodic (periodic). If we replace \(C\) and \(g\) by \(\varepsilon C\) and \(\varepsilon g\) respectively, then, in addition to the existence, the stability properties of \((x^*, y^*)\) are characterized by construction of manifolds of initial data the solutions for which approach the given solution as \(t \to + \infty\) \((t \to - \infty)\) at an exponential rate \(\alpha\) independent of the small parameter \(\varepsilon\).
