Finite difference schemes of high-order accuracy are derived for solving stationary and parabolic problems in cylindrical or spherical coordinates without additional assumptions on the boundedness of the exact solution at the point \(r=0\). Special a priori estimates of the accuracy of the schemes and their approximation and stability with respect to boundary conditions in \(L_2\), \(W_2^1\) and \(C\) norms are established. Some numerical illustrations are presented.
