    Let \(\gamma (k,\nu, \alpha, \beta)\) denote the \(k\)-th positive zero of \[ {{J_{\nu_\beta} (x)} \over {J_\nu (x)}}+ \alpha^\beta {{I_{\nu+\beta} (x)} \over {I_\nu (x)}}. \] The main result of this paper (Theorem 1) states that \(\gamma (\kappa, \nu, \alpha, \beta)\) is an increasing function of \(\nu\), \(-\beta/2\leq \nu<\infty\), for fixed values of \(\alpha\), \(\beta\), and \(k\) \((\alpha>0\), \(0<\beta\leq 1\), \(k=0,1, \dots)\). Also, a new inequality for the TurĂ¡nian of \(I_\nu\) is established \(I_\nu (x)- I_{\nu- \varepsilon} (x) I_{\nu+ \varepsilon} (x)>0\), \(\nu>- {1\over 2}\), \(x>0\), \(\varepsilon\neq 0\).
