The authors present a number of criteria for robust asymptotic or exponential stability of large scale systems with multiple time-delays and different types of uncertainty. The system is composed of interconnected subsystems with nonlinear time-varying or linear structured parametric uncertainties. In both cases the uncertainties are norm bounded and time delays in the state of a subsystem are commensurate while those in states between subsystems and in uncertainties are not commensurate. In all cases, the proof is based on the direct Lyapunov method although there is no need for solving any Lyapunov equation. All the criteria involve matrix measures of some specially constructed complex matrices and some matrix inequalities. There are two types of conditions. The first class of criteria is delay-dependent while the second one is delay-independent. Although the later ones involve less computation they are much more conservative. The merit of the methods presented is illustrated with two numerial examples: one for the system with nonlinear time-varying uncertainties and the other one for the system with linear structured parametric uncertainties. Moreover, some remarks about the use of the results presented for robust design of large scale control systems are given.
