The authors present a method for the numerical calculation of the gravitational force of axi-symmetric infinitely thin astrophysical disks, which meets the requirements of numerical accuracy, computational efficiency and vectorization. The numerical scheme is based on special piecewise quadratic approximations (weighted parabolas) of the surface density so that the singularities of the force integral can be removed and the computation of the elliptic integrals is omitted. The case of exterior surface density distributions is included.
