    Consider a bounded domain \(\Omega\) in some smooth, complete Riemannian manifold and let \((X,d)\) denote a complete metric space which is assumed to be length space of nonpositive curvature. These concepts were introduced by \textit{N. Korevaar} and \textit{R. Schoen} [Sobolev spaces and harmonic maps for metric space targets, Commun. Anal. Geom. 1, No. 4, 561-659 (1993)] and initially motivated by the work of \textit{M. Gromov} and \textit{R. Schoen} [`Harmonic maps into singular spaces and \(p\)-adic superrigidity for lattices in groups of rank one', Publ. Math. Inst. Hautes Etud. Sci. 76, 165-246 (1992)] who gave reasonable definitions of energy minimizing maps \(\Omega \to X\) in appropriate energy spaces. For example, it was shown by Korevaar and Schoen, that for prescribed Dirichlet boundary data \(\varphi\) there exists a unique energy minimizing map which is locally Lipschitz in \(\Omega\). In the present paper it is shown that the minimizer is Hölder continuous near the boundary provided the boundary data satisfy such a condition.
