In \S\S 26 and 27 of `Nichteuklidische Elementargeometrie der Ebene', B. G. Teubner, Stuttgart (1962; Zbl 0101.37403)], \textit{O. Perron} presented a derivation of the formula of the angle of parallelism function \(\Pi(x)\). In the present note, the ``long-winded and non-intuitive analytic passages'' that make up most of \S 27 are replaced by a genuinely geometric proof, very much in the spirit of Perron's book. If it will ever be reedited, then the proof in this paper should replace most of \S 27.
