The authors investigate an implementation of an extended version of the inexact approach proposed by \textit{S.-C. Fang} and \textit{S.-Y. Wu} [Optimization 28, No. 3-4, 291-299 (1994; Zbl 0819.90113)] for solving semi-infinite programming problems. Numerical results are reported for some examples from the literature. The results show the robustness and computational efficiency of the inexact approach proposed by Fang and Wu and of the modified versions of the authors.
