The author considers the semiflow \(x \cdot t\), \(t \geq 0\) on a metric (only!) space \(X\) containing closed semiinvariant subset \(M \subset Y \subset X\), the set \(M\) being nonempty compact. The stability aspect of the reduction principle is investigated. Namely, the author shows that some stability properties of \(M\) with respect to \(Y\) (e.g. \(M\) is a uniform \(Y\)-attractor) and \(Y\) with respect to \(X\) (e.g. \(Y\) is stable) imply the global stability properties of \(M\). Corresponding reduction results for stability, \((E\)-uniform) asymptotic stability are announced here without proofs. As an example, a triangular delay-differential system is studied. It should be noted that the Russian variant of the paper is an (unsatisfactory) translation from the English original published in the extended version in ``Annali di Matematica Pura ed Aplicata''.
