The global method of generalized differential quadratures (GDQ) has been developed to solve two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in a general curvilinear coordinate system. This method, applied to a smooth expansion channel flow, can give accurate numerical results using just a few grid points. It is believed that this approach can be extensively applied to complex geometry problems.
