The author shows that an infinite cardinal \(\kappa\) is the cardinality of a \(\sigma\)-complete OML having a bounded number of complements iff \(\kappa = \kappa^\omega\). In general, this result is not true for OMLs without an assumption on the number of complements, see Chinese lantern \(\text{OM}_\kappa\). In addition, this result is generalized to modular ortholattices.
