The author classifies a certain class of integral table algebras that contain a standard real faithful element of length 2. The concept of table algebra (see for example \textit{Z. Arad} and \textit{H. I. Blau} [J. Algebra 138, No. 1, 137-185 (1991; Zbl 0790.20015)]) is meant to generalize the algebra of conjugacy classes of elements of a finite group and the algebra of irreducible characters of a finite group. A table algebra is an associative and commutative algebra over the complex numbers, that affords a basis that is permuted by an algebra automorphism of even degree and satisfies some additional constraint on the structure constants. An even more general concept is the concept of C-algebras that dates back to the 1940's where it appears in the work of Y. Kawada as referenced in the paper. The classification of the above-mentioned table algebras, which is the main result of the paper, is rather technical and will not be reproduced in this review. Instead, it is worthwhile to mention that the author exploits the rich interaction between table algebras and association schemes; see \textit{E. Bannai} and \textit{T. Itô} [Algebraic combinatorics. I: Association schemes (1984; Zbl 0555.05019)]. Thus in the final section the author provides results on commutative association schemes corresponding to the classes of table algebras considered before.
