The authors continue their investigations of overcoming the Gibbs phenomenon started with \textit{A. Solomonoff} and \textit{H. Vandeven} [J. Comput. Appl. Math. 43, No. 1-2, 81-98 (1992; Zbl 0781.42022); see also the two preceding reviews]. This paper is concerned with a method to recover exponential accuracy at all points, including at the discontinuities themselves, from the knowledge of an approximation to the interpolation polynomial. It is shown that, if the collocation point values \(f(x_i)\) are given at the Gauss or Gauss-Lobatto points, then it is possible to recover exponentially accurate point values over any subinterval \([a, b]\), of analyticity of \(f(x)\). The analysis of the regularization and truncation errors and a numerical example are also provided.
