Let \(V\) and \(H\) be two real infinite-dimensional separable Hilbert spaces for which \(V\subset H\) densely, continuously and compactly and \(V'\) be the dual space of \(V\). For a positive \(T\) let \(C(0, T; V)\) be the space of continuous functions from \([0, T]\) into \(V\), endowed with the supremum norm, \(L^2 (0, T; V)\) be the space of the square summing functions, defined on \((0, T)\) with values in \(V\), and let \(W= \{f\in L_2 (0, T; V): f'\in L^2 (0, T; V)\}\) where \(f'\) denotes the weak derivative of \(f\). It has been shown by Nagy that the embedding \(W\subset C(0, T; H)\) is continuous and compact. The author of this paper delivers that this result of Nagy was exploited in several papers in connection with the study of evolution equations and inclusions.
