The author considers a quasilinear, singularly perturbed two-point boundary value problem with a turning point and shows that it, under certain assumptions, has a unique solution. A nonlinear finite difference scheme for the problem is presented and it is shown to be first-order accurate in the infinity norm. Finally, some numerical results for a test problem are presented.
