A sequence of queueing systems, each with \(r\) arrival streams and \(s\) servers and such that entering customers join the shortest queue, is considered. The authors prove functional limit theorems for the queue length and waiting time processes under the condition that the sequence of traffic intensities converges to 1 at appropriate rates.
