The authors prove a necessary Wiener-type condition for the regularity of a (weak) solution for the degenerate parabolic nonlinear equation \[ v(x){\partial u\over \partial t}-\sum_{i=1}^n{\partial\over \partial x_i} a_i\Biggl(x,t,u,{\partial u\over \partial x}\Biggr)= a_0\Biggl(x,t,u,{\partial u\over \partial x}\Biggr), \quad(x,t)\in Q_T=\Omega\times (0,t)) \] at a point \((x_0,t_0)\in\partial\Omega\times (0,T)\). The degeneration is given by weights (depending on the space variable) in a suitable Muckenhoupt class. Note that the coefficients of the equation depend on time too. This result extends the analogous one by \textit{I. V. Skrypnik} [Russ. Acad. Sci., Sb., 76, No. 2, 265-281 (1993; Zbl 0799.35127)]. The method of proof uses that of this paper. Previous extensions to the parabolic degenerate case with a weight in the \(A_{1+2/n}\) Muckenhoupt class can be found in \textit{M. Biroli} [Rend. Accad. Naz. Sci. 40, Mem. Mat. 15, No. 1, 1-17 (1991; Zbl 0832.35080)].
