    The nonlinear boundary value control problem is considered \[ {\partial\over \partial t} u(x, t)+ {\mathcal M} u(x, t)= f(x, t, u(x, t), v(x, t)), \] \[ D^\alpha u(x, t)= 0,\;(x, t)\in \partial \Omega\times(0, 1),\;|\alpha|\leq \ell- 1,\;u(x, 0)= u(x, 1),\;x\in \Omega, \] where \(\mathcal M\) is a formally selfadjoint strongly elliptic operator of order \(2\ell\) with smooth coefficients in \(\Omega\) -- a bounded domain of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) with smooth boundary \(\partial\Omega\); \(\alpha= (\alpha_1,\dots, \alpha_n)\) is a \(n\)-tuple of nonnegative integers (a multi-index), \(|\alpha|= \alpha_1+\cdots+ \alpha_n\). The control function \(v\) belongs to \({\mathcal V} \subset L^\infty(\Omega\times (0, 1), V)\) with \(V\subset \mathbb{R}^n\) connected and compact. Using Lyapunov-Schmidt method and Leray-Schauder topological degree, it is obtained existence of a periodic solution for any \(v\in {\mathcal V}\). Further three different versions of cost functionals are associated, the admissible pairs of the control problems being the control function and the associated periodic solution. Among them, existence of a minimum of each cost functional is obtained.
