Oscillations in linear delay differential equations (Q1909998)

Some connections between special linear delay differential equations with delay 1 and more general linear delay equations are established. An oscillation theorem for linear equations with nonconstant delays is proved. A bound on the separation of successive zeros of a solution to the given linear delay equation is found. The number of sign changes of a solution in any interval of length 1 is bounded.
