[The articles of this volume will not be indexed individually.] This book contains thirty-five papers related to microstructural properties and mathematical modelling of various composite structures, including crack growth. The book covers both laminated and fiber-reinforced composites made of elastic and viscoelastic materials with elasto-plastic behavior. Various methods are presented to evaluate effective moduli of composite materials. The papers are mainly concerned with static behavior of composite structures. However, there are some works related to dynamic and thermal responses of composites, and also some works on electrothermoelastic properties of two-phase piezoelectric composites. The book is well organized, it will be very useful for libraries and researchers working in the area of composite materials.
