For the equation of Newtonian polytropic flow through a porous medium \[ u_t= \Delta u^m,\quad m> 1,\quad x\in \mathbb{R}^n \] with initial function \([F(x)]^{1/(m- 1)}_+\), where \(F(x)\) is an arbitrary polynomial of degree not higher than two, the non-self-similar explicit solutions which are anisotropic with respect to the space variables are constructed. Each of these can be written in the form \[ u(x, t)= [(A(t) x, x)+ (B(t), x)+ c(t)]^{1/(m- 1)}_+,\tag{1} \] where \(A(t)\) is a symmetric matrix function, \(B(t)\) is a vector function and \(c(t)\) is a scalar function which are defined from some system of ordinary differential equations. In this work non-self-similar solutions of the form (1) are investigated and in particular, singular solutions with initial distributions which have a carrier different from a point are obtained. In the case of two space variables these solutions are classified as the two-order curves on the plane.
