Properties of semihyperbolic dynamical systems generated by Lipschitz mappings as defined by the authors in their previous papers are studied. First the definition of the basic concepts (semihyperbolicity, shadowing and expansivity) are recalled. Generalizations of certain properties known for the topological entropy of the hyperbolic case are studied. The main results of the paper deal with a weakened form of persistence and structural stability. The proofs use a version of the shadowing lemma (`bi-shadowing'). Three types of examples are considered. Firstly, Lipschitz perturbations of hyperbolic maps are semihyperbolic. A second example is obtained using an automorphism of a torus immersed into an Euclidean space. In the final example ideas of Marotto from the 70's (`snap-back repellers') are generalized.
