Limits of circle algebras (Q1912359)

The authors present a new proof of a result due to \textit{G. Elliott} [Comment. Math. Helv. 70, No. 4, 615-638 (1995)] which says that the invariant introduced in [\textit{G. Elliott}, Quantum and noncommutative analysis (editors, H. Araki et al.), 373-385 (1993; Zbl 0843.46045)] is a complete invariant for simple, unital inductive limits of finite direct sums of circle algebras. The result can also be improved by considering maps of the invariant which are not isomorphisms.
