It is known that to every factorization \(X=GM\) of a finite group into two subgroups \(G,M\) is associated a generally non-commutative and non-cocommutative Hopf algebra \(kM \vartriangleright \vartriangleleft k(G)\), which is a bicrossproduct of group Hopf algebra \(kM\) and algebra \(k(G)\) of functions on \(G\). The dual Hopf algebra \(H^*\) is of the same general form, namely \(k(M) \vartriangleright \vartriangleleft kG\). It is shown in the paper that basis-preserving isomorphisms \(H\to H^*\) are in one to one correspondence with factor reversing group automorphisms. The authors compute quantum double \(D(H)\), braiding \(H\otimes H \to H\otimes H\), and other canonical Hopf algebra constructions for \(H\). Representations of the quantum double are described by a notion of bicrossed bimodules, generalizing cross modules of Whitehead. It is shown that \(D(H)\) is the twisting of the double \(D(X)\) of the group algebra by a quantum cocycle \(F\). It consists of leaving the algebra unchanged but conjugating the coproduct by \(F\). The example \(Z_6Z_6\) is given in detail.
