According to a conjecture of M. Broué, a \(p\)-block \(B\) of a finite group \(G\) with abelian defect group \(P\) should always be isotypic to its Brauer correspondent \(b\) in \(N_G(P)\). In recent years the author (partly with L. Puig) has verified this conjecture in cases where the inertial quotient \(E=N_G(P,e)/C_G(P)\) is ``small''; here \(e\) denotes a root of \(B\) in \(C_G(P)\). The present highly technical paper completes the case where \(E\) is isomorphic to \(C_4\times C_2\) and \(p\geq 7\).
