In this paper there are given many extensions and different proofs of results of W. Barth, M. G. Eastwood and G. V. Suria, concerning \(n\)-dimensional manifolds \((M,G)\), open subsets \(D\) of \(M\), and the boundary distance functions \(d_{\partial D}\) of \(D\) induced by \(G\).
