On Gorenstein monomial ideals of codimension three (Q1915729)

In this note one gives a particularly simple form of the result of Buchsbaum and Eisenbud concerning Gorenstein ideals of codimension three, for the case of monomial ideals \(I\in S= K[X_1, \dots, X_n]\), \(K\) being a field. As a corollary, one shows that in this case the Rees algebra \(R(I)\) and the symmetric algebra \(\text{Sym} (I)\) are isomorphic and that the graded ring \(\text{gr}_IS\) is Gorenstein.
