Coincidence theorems in 2-metric spaces (Q1915902)

Let \(X\) be an arbitrary (nonempty) set and \((Y, d)\) a 2-metric space with \(d\) continuous. The main result is a coincidence theorem for four maps on \(X\) with values in \(Y\). Some fixed point theorems are also obtained when \(Y= X\). Among other results, a coincidence theorem of the reviewer and \textit{Virendra} [Coincidence theorems in 2-metric spaces, Indian J. Phys. Natur. Sci. 2(B), 32-35 (1982)] is discussed as a special case.
