In view of the finding that the lognormal distribution sometimes fits empirical response time (RT) distributions quite well, but is an ad hoc distribution rather than being derived from cognitive theory, \textit{R. Ulrich} and \textit{J. Miller} [ibid. 37, No. 4, 513-525 (1993; Zbl 0791.92030)] discussed some information processing models that may generate a lognormal RT distribution, among others a serial model due to \textit{O. Thorin} [Scand. Actuarial J. 1977, 121-148 (1977; Zbl 0372.60020)]. Supplementary to their paper we will show that two well-known parallel information processing models, parallel-exhaustive and parallel-selfterminating processing [\textit{D. Vorberg} and \textit{W. Schwarz}, Psychometrika 55, No. 4, 617-632 (1990; Zbl 0722.62066)], are also compatible with a lognormal RT distribution.
