A special Lie group \(G_2\) of dimension 14 is defined as a group of automorphisms of an algebra, which is produced by the algebra of octonions. Then a \(G_2\)-structure over a 7-dimensional manifold is considered. The properties of \(G_2\), of its subgroups and of the assigned bundles of frames are classified.
