The range of a monotone operator (Q1916817)

The author's aim is to generalize a standard result on the convexity of the range of a maximal monotone operator from reflexive to nonreflexive space. To this end he generalizes the notion of a maximal monotone operator and proceeds with purely functional analytic arguments. In a second part the reflexive case is reconsidered using Brouwer's fixed point theorem.
