This paper deals with elliptic operators of the form \(Lu= \text{div}(A(X) \nabla u)\) on a Lipschitz domain \(D\subset \mathbb{R}^n\). The coefficient matrix \(A(X)= (a_{ij}(X))\) is symmetric and for some \(\lambda> 0\): \[ \lambda|\xi|^2\leq \sum^n_{i, j= 1} a_{ij}(X) \xi_i \xi_j\leq \lambda^{- 1}|\xi|^2 \] for all \(x\), \(\xi\in \mathbb{R}^n\). Let \(L_0\) and \(L_1\) be two operators as above. The main result is of the form: if the logarithm of the density of the harmonic measure of \(L_0\) with respect to the surface measure is a function of vanishing mean oscillation (VMO) on the boundary of \(D\) [see e.g. {it D. Sarason}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 207, 391-405 (1975; Zbl 0319.42006)] and if the disagreement between the coefficients of \(L_0\) and \(L_1\) satisfies Dahlberg's condition [\textit{B. E. J. Dahlberg}, Am. J. Math. 108, 1119-1138 (1986; Zbl 0644.35032)] then, the same holds for the harmonic measure of \(L_1\).
