Computing local parameters of biquartic interpolatory splines (Q1917855)

Using the function (or mean) values and values (mean values) of the first derivatives as parameters and taking the basic functions for Hermite interpolation, the expressions of quartic and biquartic splines are constructed. The conditions can be expressed as recurrent relations of these parameters. The system of equations in one dimension can be solved easily with proper boundary conditions. Using the one-dimensional algorithm repeatedly, the two-dimensional problem can be solved.
