Let \(G\) be a non-discrete LCA topological group. The author proves that in such a group there exists a perfect, compact, independent non-Helson set of spectral synthesis. If, in addition, every neighborhood of the identity of \(G\) contains an element of infinite order the same proof yields a perfect non-Helson set of bounded spectral synthesis.
