We investigate 3-fermion systems. Owing to the constraints of symmetry, nodal surfaces may emerge in the wave functions (called inherent nodal surfaces). We show that geometric structure, internal motions and the mode of excitation of quantum states depend upon these nodal structures. The results obtained are compared with those on boson systems.
