\textit{M. F. Barnsley} [Constructive Approximation 2, 303-329 (1986; Zbl 0606.41005)] described a procedure of obtaining an iterated function system with unique attractor being the graph of a continuous interpolation function for a given finite set of points. The author of the present paper constructs a detailed realization of this scheme, then studies differentiability of the interpolation function and calculates the box dimension of its graph. The paper provides also conditions under which the Hausdorff dimension of that graph is greater than one.
